Americans Are Seeing the Light
Switching religions and/or dropping out of organized religion all together is the newest trend! I guess all that learning about "intelligent design" made people realize they're not actually getting a real education, so it's time to switch back to the facts.
Some quick statistics from the survey:
Hopefully this new trend away from the rigidity of organized religion will continue to permeate American culture, so the general public is actually able to make intelligent decisions en masse rather than those where the end result is re-electing an incompetent president like Bush.
Since re-election is no longer an option, I think we're safe. But I'm looking forward to better decisions going forward. Very exciting.
Some quick statistics from the survey:
- More than one-quarter of American adults have left the faith of their childhood for another religion or no religion at all
- One in four adults ages 18 to 29 claim no affiliation with a religious institution
- While nearly one in three Americans were raised Catholic, fewer than one in four say they're Catholic today
Hopefully this new trend away from the rigidity of organized religion will continue to permeate American culture, so the general public is actually able to make intelligent decisions en masse rather than those where the end result is re-electing an incompetent president like Bush.
